Dr. Kenny Yoong Kong Sin is a leading Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon and currently the Head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). A graduate of the National University of Singapore, he completed his surgical fellowship at the Oxford Heart Centre and received advanced training in aortic aneurysm surgery in Houston, Texas. Dr. Sin has developed a specialized practice in adult cardiac surgery with a primary interest in open and endovascular aortic surgery.
Beyond his clinical duties, Dr. Sin is a prominent leader in the regional cardiovascular community, serving as the Director of the ASEAN College, Past President of the ASEAN Federation of Cardiology, and Secretary-General of the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia. He is in charge of Education for the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology and has chaired numerous national residency and academic committees. He has contributed to over 60 peer-reviewed publications and multiple medical textbooks.
