Genovefa D. Kolovou

Genovefa Kolovou is the Director of Preventive Cardiology and Head of the Lipoprotein Apheresis Unit and Lipid Disorders Clinic at the Metropolitan Hospital in Athens, Greece. Her scientific and clinical interest focuses primarily on lipid metabolism, with a special emphasis on postprandial lipemia, gene polymorphisms, and genetic disorders such as familial hypercholesterolemia.

Dr. Kolovou has chaired three key consensus panels regarding postprandial lipemia, ageing, and longevity. Her extensive research contribution consists of 366 entries indexed on PubMed , and she has been honored with multiple distinctions, including a Greek Academy Award.
